Oh my God, Advani as the PM. Heck, NO. He was born in Pakistan. Thats reason enough. Besides, imagine with him, you will have anarchy from the likes of Tagodia, VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal, etc. They will saffronise everything and bring on Many more Gujarats.
His popularity level is much lower than sonia Gandhi as per the present survey. He is shedding crocodile tears for the ommision and correcton for the post Babri demolition. God might forgive him but not the people of India including the Hindus.
If you remember the recent history, Advani did not contest Loksabha elections in 1996 due to Jain Haval dairy scandal and that time Vajpayee was completely marginalised in BJP politics but he was reluctant choice for PM in absence of true choice i.e. Advani and then Ataljii balanced NDA coalition very well and continued be PM in 99,2000 also.
Advaniji, is a very tall personality in Indian politics. Janardhan Thakur in his book "All the Janata men" wondered, how such a clean,sobre and sparklingly honest person could find himself in politics. I had the privelege as State Leader of Yuvamorcha , to receive Advaniji when he visited Kerala( at our request) as I&B Minister.He won the hearts of every one with his clean habits and homely bearing.I also accompanied him from Thrissur to Cochin,while he attended many functions including a reception accorded to him by Cochin Corporation with AK Seshadri as Mayor.
While inside Jail,he guided the party with his razor sharp analytical brain. I was also a MISA detenue and I recollect the letter written by him from Jail which predicted that Indira would announce elections to claim parliamentary legitamacy. He has lived for the party,worked for the party and has steered the party to what it is now.With absolutely no personal agenda,he is indeed a real Karma Yogi. When they say that public memory is weak, it is really true, how else can you explain that a person like Advani, who was responsible for one of the worst communal riots during the days of the Babri Masjid demolition can dream of becoming the Prime Minister of the largest democracy in the world. In addition to this, he takes up the Bharat Uday Yatra, I was shocked to see the number of cars that follow his luxurious "Chariot" - they are at least 50 in number. Who is paying for the fuel for such largesse, the amount of money spent only on fuel can be used to feed thousands of children who cannot afford to have two square meals a day. And, we the public - want to make this old, feeble, one-leg-in-the-grave-and-the-other-on-a-banana-peel, pile of crap our Prime Minister. GOD, save this country !!
