I dont believe in defeat
by B.K.Bhuwania on Nov 28, 2003 01:47 PM

Apropos interview with Uma Bharti "I dont believe in defeat". She claims to have won several times from the same consitituency in past. As an M.P. from the constituency from several years, may one ask at least what improvement she has done in it from her M.P. Funds that she gets year after year. What has she done for Madhya Pradesh as an M.P. What is the achievement of BJP when they were in Power before Congress Rule.

People would have voted Digvijay Singh out last time after 5 years had he not done anything in past 5 years of his first term. BJP is in habit of showering abuses on oponents defying all norms of Political decency and thinks people are fools who voted Digvijay Singh secon time. After all BJP was in power for 5 years previous to Congress Rule and what they did during that time to be voted out of power. I think biggest achievement was celebration of Sunderlal Patwas's Father's Birth Anniversery in grand Style at peoples' cost if you can call that a good work for which Patwa was removed from the office.

The new Mask of 'Development', while the End remains same as ever
by Sunil on Nov 28, 2003 11:29 AM

One wonders when Uma Bharathis agenda turned from Revenge on a section of India's population to 'development'. Is this development talk the new Mask of the BJP to cover the its real face? Realizing that it is not possible to puncture the overarching Indian ethos of respect for all religions and pursuit of truth, BJP seems to have taken up "Development" as a means to power, while the End remains communal as ever. Is Arun Jaitley the Master strategist behind the double-faced strategy? Digvijay Singh is a true Sanathan Dharmi and if he says that there will excess power shortly, there will be. One can bet on it. He is probably the only politician as brilliant, as honest, as truly secular, whose means and the End are the same. Uma Bharati is at a forefront of a instigation that resulted in thousands of deaths - bent on revenge on a section of India's population. And she calls herself peace loving? How disgusting it would be to see a true Sanathan Dharmi losing elections to an intolerant individual. It is OK if she is leader of a movement, but not head of a state.

Uma Bharti Interview
by RAKESH SHARMA on Nov 28, 2003 09:44 AM

It appears to me a very intrusive and biased interview. It looks like the interviewer had already formed opinions. She would keep on asking questions which were totally irrelevent.

It will be a good idea for Rediff to hire some Indians for a Change,as most of the writers appears to have biased opinions against BJP.
