Historical moment
by Raj on Dec 08, 2003 08:39 PM

WOW!!! Is' nt that something winderful and historical. I would not like to stress upon the fact that she is a woman CM of the state, because that right is enshrined in the constitution way back when it was created. But the good thing is that she is sanyasin and bachelor like H'ble PM Vajpayee and H'ble President A.P.J. Kalam who most likely will not be corrupt and selfless in serving the country. Looks like democracy in India is getting its true meaning after 50 years of misrule led by the immoral votebank based Congress party. Its still a longway because true democracy makes sense only when people are educated and can make their own logical decisions. I hope the new CM will start working in that direction too in one of the most backward states of this Holy country. Kudos to BJP!! and UMA BHARATI.

Uma Bharati, the CM
by L.N. Bajaj on Dec 08, 2003 01:52 PM

In stead of struggling endless effort for 33 per cent election seats, women should try to raise their numbers as CMs from present 5 CMs to atleast 15 CMs. Beware, men in Parliament, women are on move now.

Rajesh  Vyas
Ms. Uma Bharati
by Rajesh Vyas on Dec 08, 2003 01:39 PM

Sir;

First of all my heartiest conratulations to the people of Madhya Pradesh and to Ms. Uma Bharati. May she have a long and fruitful tenure as the Chief Minister.

I hope Ms. Bharati will be as vociferous towards the needs of the poor and downtrodden as she has been for building the temple in AYODHYA. As a woman she should concentrate upon the miseries of the poor Indian women, who have been consistently abused by their husband and by the society at large. Education should the most important priority and free education for all and particularly for Girls should be taken up on very very top priority.

Let us hope she is able to appreciate the sufferings of women and poor children.

I recommend that she reads MS.SHOBHA DE'S article in the Sunday Times of Decmber 7, 2003 and I hope that she proves herself to be different from the run of the mill politicians who are full of lip service when it comes to serving the poor.

Do give a thought to the poor of Madhya Pradesh.
