I was one of the spectators in Chennai, giving standing ovation to Pakistan team which won a closely fought test match. I am not sure whether I would do it today. OfCourse, I would have appreciated their talent, but not their country. Apart from the difference in geography and era, the main point is the radicalization of the Pakistani players themselves. If they are not treating sports as sports and bringing in religion into it, how do you expect the crowd to react otherwise. Did the crowd chant "Jai Sriram" for other Pakistan players? The answer to this would explain the crowd behavior. Let us be secular not Sickular
