BCCI may be technically correct but if the previous contract ended in Sep 20 they ought to have advised the cricketers in writing not to expect renewal. Since they took 8 months to decide on renewal or otherwise the payers were kept in doubt and it amount to not paying them from Oct 1, 20 till the date of announcement.
