Pujara is a good cricketer, maybe just short of greatness. I admire his capabilities and tenacity, however he needs to view the opinions a bit more positively. Whether T20, ODI or Test Match, Runs do matter, irrespective of the condition of the match. Even in Test Match, one needs to think at 2.75-3.32 RPO, unless the field is unplayable or a minefield. Saving a match slow batting is ok, but whether it is setting a score or following a score, RPO matters, while staying in the crease also matters. Rishab Pant was able to close it in the last few overs of the game, even if the other batsmen had contributed 5-10 Runs including Pujara, the pressure on Rishab would have been lesser. This is true in all forms of the game. Slow and dour batting should not go the extent of putting too much pressure on those who follow... Definitely Pujara has to/can improve. Nothing wrong in taking critics in the right spirit, when it is deserved to.
