I consider these statements / comments by Clarke are foolish.... When a player has given his name for auction and decided his base price, he is ready to be, not even picked up.... Why should Smith not play at all because he is bought at just about his price and NOT at the previous rate..??? If so, he should not have given his name at all....
If at all he complains about a hamstring injury in the last minute and withdraws, it's a shame..... already he spoiled his name during the Indian team's tour downunder... if this gets added to his credentials, Smith will never be welcome to India.....
