In case of Dhoni & Tendulkar (If you remember 1999 WC) the decision was right in context of Nation as they where World Cups.

In case of Virath the decision was right in context of Family and it is Test match series and in my opinion not very significant with respect to WCs.

we should respect them all as this is just game of cricket and will not earn any diplomatic or geopolitical status at United Nations.

When his father died he fulfilled national duty so why not now? It suggests his wife is everything to him. what a worst person.
