Our 'women (rather girls, i should say) in Blue' lost in women's ICC World T20 Cup final. But barring 16-year-old Shefali Verma (till the final), our top batters just did not click at all. With No.2 (Smriti), 3 Jemiah) and 4 (captain Harmanpreet Kaur) failing repeatedly, it was miracle in the form of Shefali, that they could make the final. Perhaps they were overcome by huge crowd in the final, not seen anywhere in women's cricket. When barring Shefali, all other batters just could not show will to stay at the crease. They went to attack each and every ball as if they dont want to stay, giving Aussie women catch practice.
