Is Virat Kohli the Greatest Of All Time?
by Shilpa Mehta on Jan 18, 2020 11:56 AM

Yes , of course Viraat is GREATEST PLAYER of all time .

I have Sachin , Lara , at their peak , but Viraat is

nowhere less than them in batting .

And moreover , he's an excellent fielder as well ,

definitely better than Sachin or Lara or Don - - -

Hence , that makes him undoubtedly a GREAT PLAYER , NOT

ONLY GREAT BATSMAN - -

Why write such rubbishes. The writer must have not seen rather heard yesteryears great players. It is foolish to compare with the incomparables.

No comparison, no way he is the best

No doubt is a good batsman. But no way he is the greatest. Bowlers and the pitch conditions he now plays are lot easier than earlier days. We now do not have bowlers like Marshall, Holding, Akram, Imran, Lillie, Murali, Warne, Donald, Pollack, Waqar, Saqlain, Vaas, Ambrose, Hadlee etc. Also pitches are now batsman friendly where they easily score big runs.

Kohili is one among the greatest. His level of patience cannot be matched by many. Just one example, most of the great players get little bit nervous when they are close to cenury mark, even Sachin had this problem. Many times he lost the century due to nervousness. But look at Kohili, even if at 80, 90 or 99, he plays the same way. Probably another player who is not overconcerned about such land marks is Shewag. The problem with him is he do not have any game planning for the whole team and he plays on his on style. Kohili always tries to hold the whole innings together than looking at his indiviudal score or milestones. If you look at that way, he is unique. That is a great attitude.

He is the most arrogant player / captain any team ever had
He is not a good ambassador
The level of bowlers around him too are mediocre

We lost world cup due to faulty team selection. A lot of talented players were neglected and some unwanted players were included. Even if a single wrong player is in the team, it will adversely affect the whole team combination. It is not the fault of Kohili. Even if we leave the job to a school kid, he will select a much better team.
