Murali Vijay , Samson, Vijay Shankar didn't get chances like kedhar, Rohit, Rahul..be cause they have support of dhoni and kohli.. Murali vijays chance was spoiled by dhoni in IPL by not allowing him to play....he don't like Ashwin and instead like the leg spinner( recent entry in CSK)
Though we lost the ODI series, in Tests, India are masters with Pujara, the most technical and difficult batsmen to be got out by even good bowlers. Then there are quite couple of players like Rahul, Shreyas Iyer who has patience and can play long innings. Obviously on bowling side, we have the best of the world fiver, Bumrah, Shami, Ishant or Umesh, Kuldeep and Chahal who can make the world's best batsmen lose confidence and techniquie. While New Zealand has nobody except Taylor who can score bit. Other good batsmen like Guptill, Williamson scores but not big runs. They neither can rely on their openers or middle players. It shows the team has not concentrated on developing good players overall though their performance recently has been good. Similarly, Tim Southie looks to be the world's worst bowlers inspite of having so much experience, doesn't seem to know bowling. Don't know inspite of Indians scoring lot of runs on his bowling, he is still persisted in team. He should be sacked and he was solely responsible for T20 whitewash. It shows New Zealand has no good strike bowlers. Same with their spin attack. Its the worst. Surprising when such yesteryear great bowlers like Vettori is there, how come they are not able to develop world class spinners. Above all, Williamson doesn't have any strategy for the play either to tell the players beforehand how to go or during the play as the game processes. New Zealand totally is dependent on form and luck of players.
