Sourav Ganguly did nothing but hit a ball with a bat. There is no comparison with a scholar's work, even if he made a lot more money for himself and BCCI.

How these two compared? Ofcource one Ganguli shows team India can win outside India.....Banerjee shows one can win Nobel but again when u r outside India (citizenship). Remember Netwest series, when India wins Ganguli as a captain was much much emotional removing his shirt.....otherside when Banerjee hears about the honor, he was surprised to get so early in life...this is called ground to earth personality...totally cultured background.
