it is not surprising that the aus(except dino) and english are crying foul unable to digest the RR loss which they should have won comfortably. This is not to suggest that Butler's wkt alone cost the match for RR.While they talk of spirit of game but what sort of spirit is that the batter steals over 2' before the ball is bowled ? Isn't it crass cheating why the rules have been framed to prevent it in the first place ?In fact Butler has been seen transgressing repeatedly in the match in previous overs too.Besides, his fracas with SLans on the same issue in england in past clearly indicates he is a repeat offender who doesn't want to change. I wish Ashwin had said he would do it again and not be apologetic about it.It is amusing that inventors of 'bodyline' bowling should talk of 'spirit' of the game.
Ashwin did it right. Critics who are shouting against Ashwin are trying to convey a message that Cricket is a Gentleman's game. If that is so, then what about Butler, did he show a gentleman like attitude. Stop criticizing Ashwin OTHERWISE one would find the non striker standing at the half way of the pitch when the ball is delivered from now onwards.
