What a joke that Warne is commenting about sporting spirit. He was banned for match fixing and drug abuse. Probably these are within in the sporting spirt of Aussi cricket

Deeply ashamed of what Ashwin did
by gopi kaivaram krishna on Mar 27, 2019 03:02 AM

We are feeling ashamed of you being deeply ashamed.. PER ICC rules the bowler is not even required to warn the batsman, if he backs up too much.. what Ashwin did was perfectly right .. Does Spirit of game apply only for Bowlers and not for Batsmen?

He is completing half a run before the ball is actually bowled... is this called spirit of the game?

You should feel ashamed about SS, DW & CB involving in tampering .. and also be thankful to INDIA, BCCI, IPL for allowing these buggers to play.

Deeply ashamed of what Ashwin did

As an Indian I am deeply ashamed of Ravi Ashwin’s act against Butler yesterday. Such unsportsmanlike conduct goes against the rich culture and sporting traditions of our country. It was certainly not an act that a billion Indians would be proud of and I am sure it would hurt their nationalist sentiments.

Aussie Cry Baby
by Gautam Rai on Mar 27, 2019 01:19 AM

I don't understand what is it that is making the Aussies cry so much! Mankading is a legal method of getting a batsman out as per ICC rules book. If it is a rule then where is the question of spirit of the game? Either don't have a rule in the first place and if you do then how can a rule be against the spirit of the game? Aussies should go crying to ICC for having this rule in the first place when they feel it is against the spirit.

Silly question from Shane Warne
by Chaitanya B on Mar 27, 2019 12:02 AM

Of course, silly.

Even if Ben Stokes does this to Kohli when Kohli backs up too much and too early, it is a legal dismissal. Now issues, no fuss, no worries.

I don't see what point Shane Warne is trying to make by asking such hypothetical and rhetorical questions.
