The Rule is very clear but seems the match referee has overlooked. A bowler CANNOT mankad a non striker after the bowler has taken his stride to bowl. the rule says: Quote"The Laws have since been changed so that a bowler may no longer "Mankad" a batsman once he has entered his delivery stride. However, under Law 42.15 it remains legal for a bowler to run out a non-striker who has strayed outside his crease after he has started his run up, but before he has entered his delivery stride" unquote. Ashwin had taken his delivery stride and therefore cannot mankad Butler. REFEREES DONT CLOSE YOUR EYES. FOLLOW THE RULES. I am surprised that the umpire who asked for the review and the third umpire DO NOT know the rule. They should be penalized for allowing this controversy to reach this far.
I AM A GREAT OF PUNJAB X1 AND I DEFINITELY WANTED THEM TO WIN, BUT AFTER THAT COWARDICE ACT OF ASHWIN HE LOST ALL MY REGARDS FOR HIM AND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY HE CAN MAKE A MARK IN GETTING THE SELECTORS ATTENTION. SHAME ON U.
if in this ball buttler save by 2 inchs while running for run thats mesan buttler has culprit that time no body think about spirit of cricket they says well run by buttler similarywhen bowler ball at off stump and batsman hit reverse sweep is this spirit of cricket bcoz bowler set his fielder at off side

It is T20 and not a test match and the players will try to grab opportunities by hook or crook. All batsman try to steal a run and if any misfiled happens they take an extra run. If an overthrow happens they take a run. Batsmen are supposed to stay at the crease till the ball is delivered and the batsman try to advance for a run even when they are not sure about it since ball is yet to be delivered. They try to take a few extra steps to take a cheeky single. If it is a test match, the bowler may give a warning first, but in T20 such courtesy cannot be expected. So Aswin cannot be blamed for what he did as long as the rule of the game accepts such run outs. I am not the supporter of both the teams and this is my neutral view point.
