Since the Rule Book provides such Dismissal then it is the Batsman's duty to keep it in mind. In this case, Bowler acted as per Rule Book rightly. Full marks to Ashwin. It also reminds me of "LAGAAN" Film.
if the batsman thinks he can get quick runs by going one-fourth of the pitch even before the ball is delivered then it should be called for. probably ashwin would have noticed twice or thrice the bastman going like that and he did it, he is not wrong.

It's indeed a disgraceful act. Nobody should support. But do you think Warne has any ethics to talk about "Spirit of the Game". Sabse bada Gamer to Warne hi hai.

Ashwin is absolutely fault-less in this.
Absolutely nothing disgraceful here.
The only thing disgraceful is that these batsmen, playing at the highest international level cry like babies asking for first warning, second warning, etc, despite deliberately flouting rules with full knowledge.
Cut Pay to GovtMaadharChodhs (GMCs), Divert Money for Development
Nowadays many GovtMaadharChodhs (aka GMCs or 80% Gov employees) get pensions over 30K / pm, a gov peon or junior asst gets salary Rs 35K / pm, gov teacher 50k, lecturer Rs 1.5 lak, professor Rs 2 lak, etc.
I appreciate Modi's initiatives in collecting taxes--GST, Income Tax, etc--from hardworking people and businesses in the pvt sector, but what is the use if this money is paid as exorbitant salaries to 3% GMCs, of whom 80% are good-for-nothing fellows?
In pvt companies, only top 3% could be corrupt, but 97% employees have to work hard. In govt companies 80% are corrupt and / or laggard fellows.
GMC laggards, who eat up 10% GDP / yr, seldom work, but work very hard when there is scope for corruption. GMCs spend 80% time eating paan & spitting on walls, talking SexPoliticsAndNonsense, playing cards 2 hrs when lunch time is 1 hr, etc
GMCs have strong unions and often threaten nationwide strike if their exorbitant demands are not met.
Pay good salaries only to defense personnel (on active assignments); reduce salaries of GMCs to market-avg levels--stop salary revisions. Divert money thus saved to improve primary education, English skills, healthcare and family planning among poor, SC, ST, MBCs, etc and to support poor farmers driven to suicide. HIGH SALARIES TO GMCs KILLS PATRIOTIC SPIRIT OF NON-GOVT HARDWORKING CITIZENS.
(Instead of Rs 1Lac /PM to a GMC, better pay 10k-to-10 pvt sctr hard-workers)

Hey, if Ashwin had notices the batsman crossing the runner crease before the bowl is bowled, he could have atleast alerted or warned him the first time. It doesn't mean you take the opportunity and move away from the spirit of game. All said, noboday says Ashwin is wrong as per the rules of game, but he is wrong in not showing his gentlemanship which definitely is against the spirit of game. Frankly there should be no debate on this and the power of giving out in such a scene should rest with the umpire who can very well judge whether technically the batsman is out or not.

No need for these batsment to reminded about every rule in the rulebook.
It's a match going on -- not a cricket coaching session.
These international players know the rule about this scenario and still recklessly flout. When dismissed, they clutch at lame straws like "not receiving warning" . Big joke.
Cricket is no more gentleman game especially because of the Australians who introduced sledging. He has no moral standards to talk. Further if it is against the spirit of the game why it is the rule that too the amended one in the year 2017. In Twenty20 it is not cricket that is being played it is just an excitement and the bowlers would be in the received end. If going by the analogy batsmen who slips while running are made run out. Is it the spirit. Warne come on we know you are loyal to Rajastan Royals
