Not Just winning, but winning more effectively & authoritativ

Indian Cricket lovers invariably have become hero-worshippers rather than analysing about game and country more than the players. Whether Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Kapil, Dhoni, Kohli, we need to be more pragmatic than dwell in fantasy and past heroics.
Dhoni has not been really performing well over last 2-3 years, it is reality, It was true for Sachin as well in his last 2-3 years.
Dhoni's strategy of taking things to the end, does not work well always. Good that he lends stability if india is down 3-5 wkts but seeing him struggle to force the pace against steady bowling and not manage a strike rate of 25-50 during the initial 10-15 overs does not keep him in good stead. Absorbing too many overs, dot balls allows the opposition to dominate, batsmen on the other end to take too many risks, losing wickets and even Dhoni on many ocassions in the recent last 2-3 years have got out or remained not out in 20's to 40's and not able to do anything about it.
Even in the tighest situation, he has to somehow modify his approach of taking more 1s and 2s and try to add that extra 15-20 more runs apart from the late burst, even which has to be last 5 overs, not just 1-2 overs. Afghanistan and WI bowling was not that superlative or unplayable to have struggled so much.
This has to dawn on every player. Look at the top 5 batsman of this world cup, always been positive.

Sehwag please

May be you hit an over boundary better than others but as a cricketing brain you are still a novice. At least no better than Dhoni, kohli or Shastry. Why to criticise unnecessery when the team is doing a good job. The other day Tendulkar advised to drop Shami because he will be ineffective against Chris Gail but see Gail was uncomfortabe against Shami and lost the wicket. So better applaude our team till final ball of world cup . Let them decide the strategy please.

Shami is too good with his in-swingers and also his bowling will suit english conditions.
