Indian team selectors failure
by Harish Gaur on Jul 23, 2019 03:05 PM

It is sorry state of Selection process in Indian Cricket. Indian Selection team never make a strong 15 members team. Selector need to analyse the thing practically and best performer and physically fit man to be included in the team. First of all India need an aggressive, positive frame of mind Captain to replace Mr. Virat Kohli. In last three World Cup Semifinals Mr. Kohli had scored: In 2011, SF = 9 Runs, In 2015, SF= 1 Run & In 2019, SF again = 1 Run. You can not rely on his performance as a Captain in future Semi final. Hardik Pandya need to made as a Captain and be carved as winner like legendary Kapil Dev. The team management need to put him in 3rd & 4th position so as he get enough time for his batting and maintain a spirit that he alone can make India win matches against any of the team. Tail-enders also be given batting chance to produce runs. Chahal, Bumrah doesn't know how to bat is also a matter of serious concern.

This World Cup India had fair chance to win World Cup, but wrong team order planned by Mr. Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli has put India to side of defeat.

After fall of wicket of Virat Kohli they need to send Dhoni, experienced player in upper order for building up a partnership. Also Dhoni take some time to back to his marvelous knock performance. Sending Kartik in upper order was a very wrong decision. Kartik was good at number 7 - 8 position when you only need score 4s and 6s.

Bowlers and batsmen also need to workout on their fitness.

Everyone knows how selections are made in the team.

Nepotism favoritism causes good players careers to perish pre-maturely while mediocre players like Chahal and KL Rahul etc get chance at the cost of talented players.

NO NEED TO BLAME SELECTORS - - -
by Shilpa Mehta on Jul 22, 2019 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Selectors did THEIR job good . Team Selected for WC was very GOOD .

It all depends on who you perform on that PARTICULAR
DAY . Nothing else .

Our middle order ie Pant , DK & Pandya all are very good batsman .

TEAM INDIA LOST IN SEMI FINALS ONLY BECAUSE OF CARELESS

SHOTS PLAYED BY PANT & PANDYA AFTER GETTING SETTLED .

NOTHING ELSE . DK's catch taken was excellent & was not

a reckless shot , hence DK could not be blamed .

Your TOP ORDER CANNOT perform everytime . They may also

fail on few occasion & that is the precise time when our

middle order MUST rebuild the innings take the team

to victory .

Their was absolutely NO NEED for Pant & Pandya to play

such AIRY SHOTS when team still needs 150 more runs to win

& already four wickets down .

Why cant you see Sanju Samson as next Wicket Keeper for India, may you think he is dark in complexion. Give him a chance and he will show his class.

Early dismissal of a young talent
by Santosh Singh on Jul 22, 2019 04:59 AM

Somewhere many of us were expected that after injury of two players ambati Rayudu was fittest for middle order but looking decision was made from captain, coach and less important selectors.. but no doubt there are lots of young talent who is knocking the door so players need to keep patience who knows in Indian cricket when direction of winds may change!

Hope less selectors
by Partha Banerjee on Jul 21, 2019 09:41 PM

Lets not forget that selectors should not be guided by coach and captain . We have 100 crore adults and selectors could have easily kept one team and two backup team ie three players for every position . Do we have any scarcity of players . Next selection must have three players for each slot and all the standby players must be informed to be ready for a call . This is no rocket science . Develop this formula from next series . HAve two back up cricketr for every slot . This will bring transparency and Provide a pipeline . India exited WC19 due to poor coach and captain and over confidence .

Sanju Samson missing shows the bias of the Selectors
by Kadangode chidambaram on Jul 21, 2019 09:00 PM  | Hide replies

Sanju Samson should have been selected. But MK Prasad should be taken to court for not selecting Sanju Samson. I do not care about Raydu.

Dear Mr.Kadangode,
I believe you are from Kerela and i feel this is the only reason you are voicing your opinion about Sanju Samson. Please remember, this is about the indian team and not about any IPL or regional team. At this moment Rishab Pant, Wridhiman Saha, Parthib Patel are way ahead of Sanju if you take performance into consideration. So, Sanju samson does not fit into the scheme of things at this moment. Sanju is young. He can wait, perform and get into the Indian team if he deserves in the near future. But with Pant available, things do look difficult for sanju.

I am sorry, I do not agree with you. Sanju Samson is elder to Pant and many others and has been vouched for by Experts in cricket like Lara, Gambhir and Shane Warne. You are bengali so will support Wriddhiman Saha who has got so many chances, if Sanju Samson get so man chances he will outclass Wriddhiman Saha. So please do not fly high.

Number 4 position.
by Beharilal Eshpuniyani on Jul 21, 2019 07:49 PM

If number 4 position is considered critical for Indian Team, should the captain ( Virat Kohli) not consider to take the Responsibility? He is a good batsman. For number 3 position , let it be Pant or Pandey.

by Mahesh Shanbhag on Jul 21, 2019 07:22 PM

MKPrasad as a head of selection board made two wrong selection for WC -19.Raydu should he been selected instead of Kedar.Pant should have been selected instead of Kartik.
Now at least improve team selection for WI tour & don't give excuses at the end of the tour
