MSD is a GREAT player but towards the fag end of his career . If not today , say after a year he will retire . But in next one year MSD's replacement MUST be ready to step into his big shoes .
Pant , Saha must be groomed suitably by ROTATION POLICY to replace MSD .
Team should not land up in problems after MSD's exit .
We have seen bad condition of many teams after retirement of their good players , for Example - - -
1. SA after ABD , Steyn & Pollock .
2. Lanka after Sangakkara , Jayawardene & Murali
3. AUS after Ponting , Clarke ,Gilshrist , Lee & Shane Warne .

I think now, there should not be any anxiety here afterwards, as to what happens without Dhoni. India doesn't need him any more. It is as simple as this.
BCCI should understand we have not less than 100 top class players from the new generation who are waiting for a chance. Make an opinion poll from the cricket fans, they will pick the best players or best team for you. Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly, Shewag, Yuvraj... all of them retired, but it did not put an end to Indian Cricket. We have not some one like flamboyant Shewag as an opener emerged yet. Still we are the top one day team in the world. Even if Dhoni retires Indian cricket will survive.
BCCI should their ego and take Sanju Samson who played well and set good partnership with Ajinkya Rahane. He scored century in IPL and first one to do that. Stalwarts like Brian Lara, Shane Warne, Gautam Gambhir are all in favour of him except the North Indian biased Kapil Dev who will vouch for immature Rishab Pant
Till Shikhar Dhawan is not available, Pant may be considered as opening batsman alongwith Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli should be considered for batting at number 4.

Sanju Samson will be hundred times better than Pant who will shiver in his pants when bowling will be above 140 kmph
