Dhoni - The Iceberg

If we see Dhoni's performance in the world cup, we cannot say it is bad. It is only we who expect too much from him. Wherever the team need his help, he did it in his style. Only we become impatient and expect him to play like twenty 20 always and end up chewing all our nails while he cross the target gracefully. Even in the match with NZ, he planned well, gave charge to Jadeja, who did extremely well and they both nearly did it from a pathetic situation. Today, he couldn't win us a game, we feel let down. His attitude, coolness, getting along with the team members extra are of an excellent leader's quality. His team members learn from him every moment. He is still a terror in the opposite camp.

But a couple failures of him made all of us to talk as if he is a criminal. I wish he decide to to quit cricket permanently. unlike Tendulkar and Kapil Dev, his performance was not bad in his last series. he did not chase any record and hence he need not pull on further.

Best wishes to one of the best sportsman India has ever produced.

Yes you will say that he was in Chennai Super Kings. But we are fed up of seeing him. We want to see Sanju Samson in action and not Dhoni anymore.

Good decision. During these 2 months, at least some players get an opportunity to try establish in the team.

Is he running away
by anurag nigam on Jul 20, 2019 05:09 PM  | Hide replies

He has terrible record in slow and inconsistent bounce pitches in WI.
He is banking on the fact that if other wicket keeper fails he will likely get opportunity again.

Not only in WI, but his record outside sub-continent (barring some isolated matches) has always been poor- whether in test or ODI. His so called batting and finished ability always got exposed in overseas tours even during his prime.

Sanju Samson should be given the opprn now.
Youngsters like Shreyas ,Mayank,Washington,Chahar should be in playing dquad. This is the right start to form new combination & rest the old guys.

Sanju Samson is the best among the lot. So without doubt he should be given the chance. But I doubt BCCI will because it is having court battle with the case of Sreesanth which has become an ego problem and Sanju Samson is suffering because of that. BCCI should be totally dismantled if they do not select Sanju Samson.
