this is the best time, he can manage the show & come forward to take up any new responsibility, he will earn the current name for getting bigger, rather than if decided by else............ forcibly & will loose his INCREDIBLE TAG
fair enough he did glories in Indian cricket history.............its high time to start new innings with decorum....which shall suits him image better.

Yes , of course - - I can't understand why this same question is being racked up again & again by our media ??
As I repeatedly said - - - MSD will HIMSELF decide when to retire & NO ONE ELSE .
You CANNOT DROP LEGENDS - - - Selectors can only humbly & respectfully ask MSD - - - Sir , what are your plans ?? ( Like , once they asked Sachin ) Nothing more than that .
Presently Team India does not have immediate replacement of MSD . We have seen lot of Pant & DK . Both throw their wickets in a irresponsible way .
Pant is no doubt good but still needs some time to develop .
MSD MUST ensure that next keeper batsman is ready to replace him & then only take a call of retirement , not just like that .
Otherwise Team may land in problem .
OR else he can continue up to next years 20-20 WC in AUS .

Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel are examples of the wicket keeper, batsmen who could not establish in the team, just because of insistence that Dhoni has to be in the team. If the trend continues, Pant also can not establish. Even after this tour, particularly the manner he has demonstrated in the match against England when 5 wickets in hand but even no attempt to try strokes, knowing fully well that singles shall lead to sure defeat...
He should have retired two years ago but is not doing so due to some vested interests. If he cannot rise above personal temptations, he should be shown the way...
No , as he did to his seniors ,he should be asked to retire . Sehwag laxman , ganguly were still performing with the bat still they had to go owing to fielding . He failed with both bat and keeping in multiple matches in WC , so its high time he leaves .
