Seems Umpires also pre-determined to favour hosts. Considering the decision Kohli had got in semi finals, Jason Roy should have been out... but Umpire's call made the difference. Stokes and Morgan had wonderful opportunity to show sportsman spirit by not taking 4 runs of overthrow, which were result of Stokes bat... but seems they chose CUP over spiri of gentleman's game. Now England doesn't look like deserving winners though they have cup with them.. its a fluke..

Absolutely right ! the way NZ played , they are the real winners !! England team should have acknowledged that NZ played better cricket & deserved to win . World cup trophy winners can only happen by better game skills not by fluke ( 4 runs off Stokes bat should not have been allowed), which is what England's win was. Shame on these guys. The least they can do is urge ICC to share the trophy with NZ. That will be true sportsmanship.
It was a very unfortunate one for New Zealand. Both the teams were equally good. I have never seen such a match ever. two ties - both in the main match and also in the super over!!! Its amazing. But my heart cried for New Zealand. The rule was just to prove the point that someone has to be the topper

Everybody is asking if Stokes can do for ENG, why MSD (so called great finisher) not did for INDIA ? Is he still deserves in suad in neXT !!!

Exactly , they are the deserved winners. This World cup , ICC wanted to ensure England won it ( by any methods ) and finally they came up with a new method . For me New Zealanders were with real winners .

Yep. ICC wanted England to win. So, they brought rule that, the one who hit more boundaries is the winner. Why shoul it be, at first? NZ had 2 wkts in hand. While England were allout. Had there been one over more, maybe NZ could have scored 1 run. This rule book made to favor home side.

Few years ago, it was number of wickets only when match tied.... not sure why that was changed. How a team can be declared if more boundaries are scored.. in the current case ENG lost more wickets, yet couldn't score more runs. Stupid rule.
