Overconfidence and nevousness caused India's loss ...
by Nalin Kishore on Jul 12, 2019 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

Three opening batsmen getting out for 5 runs on the board is shameful ... not just one of those things ... they had a huge responsibility to score runs which they failed to discharge ... these three are the main and only culprits ... how come Jadeja and Dhoni had a century partnership later? conditions were same for them too ... the top three batsmen are the only ones to blame for this loss ... no one else ...

India's loss
by NG Nileshwar on Jul 12, 2019 02:52 PM

With great regret, I add my view. The CULPRIT was play on the second day only by one side. Kiwis enjoyed the night's rest, which gave them the edge. Fatigue was never the issue because of this.
If India were to bat the same day as NZ, matters would have been different. Had NZ opened the next day by treating the earlier day's play as abondoned, NZ would have been in the condition of India. Even if the toss was done afresh, this would have been fine. Playing conditions would have been like usual.

Kohali prime culprit should have defensive rather then push for 1
by avinash kumar on Jul 12, 2019 12:16 PM

Kohali should have gently giving honor to bowler by play Defensive like kartik did in 4 bowls, rather then pushing for runs ...to escape panic ..but he forget to imagine such scenario as arrogance ruled out to seen it.

Poor team management and selection ONLY reasons for loss
by Jayesh Dave on Jul 12, 2019 09:50 AM

All fans are proud of players. They give their best every time.
Its the non-existent strategic thinking and management with poor choices of playing XI that caused us not to win WC-we are the best team and set of players with only England possible competitors this year for the WC.
Our team management captain can't even eat pitches correctly, don't look at historic data to choose playing XI, pick severely under performing spinners an hope for miracles, choose batsmen who haven't gotten the chance to adjust to playing conditions or playing country, don't understand difference between playing sub continent vs England, make wrong on field decisions -- just sad for such a set of high potential players to lose out on such glory after being warned time and again of their mistakes. BCCI set a very poor precedence with Kumble and all of India is suffering ONLY die to poor management and selection.

Shami should have played in the semi for India to win
by ravi das on Jul 11, 2019 07:39 PM

Another horrible decision by team management. Shami usually takes early wickets which puts lots of pressure on batting side. So, if Shami had played the semi final, then NZ would have got restricted to below 200 runs.

Team Management
by Jagadevsinh Chavda on Jul 11, 2019 06:29 PM

We very badly need sensible team management. When top 3 have failed we needed some one who changed the batting order as per the situation. Dhoni needed to be be sent up. Hardik and Pant to follow in that order with strict instructions to chase the Total with due caution. Even Dhoni could have been instructed to harmonise his scoring rate with target. You need a personality which are not in awe of our Cricketing Stars and is able to give them good dressing down whenever need arises. Shashtri needs to be imaginative and taskmaster both, which I have now good reason to doubt. I wish he takes responsibility and resigns.

India at Semi
by SIVAMANI on Jul 11, 2019 06:02 PM

Change in Batting order is a better chance to win in the semi final, opening shall be Risabh and Dhoni is better choice, (because if dhoni is present in the batting means his guidance to other players will helpful), next Rohit sharma then Viratkohli third Rahul, Fourth Hardiq Pandiya, Fifth Dineshkarthik, Sixth Ravindra Jadeja then Bhuvenswar, Chahal, Bumra, if Dhoni is there upto 20 overs means definetly India win the match because Dhoni his waiting for his chance to hit six and four when he is well settled, then automatically the other pick up easily.
