SIVAMANI
India at Semi
by SIVAMANI on Jul 11, 2019 06:02 PM

Change in Batting order is a better chance to win in the semi final, opening shall be Risabh and Dhoni is better choice, (because if dhoni is present in the batting means his guidance to other players will helpful), next Rohit sharma then Viratkohli third Rahul, Fourth Hardiq Pandiya, Fifth Dineshkarthik, Sixth Ravindra Jadeja then Bhuvenswar, Chahal, Bumra, if Dhoni is there upto 20 overs means definetly India win the match because Dhoni his waiting for his chance to hit six and four when he is well settled, then automatically the other pick up easily.

You said my comment was non-sense. Now explain me, "How did Kohli earn World no. 1 ranking? and similarly, how did Rohit Sharma earn World no.2 ranking?". Now dont speak bullshit that they played against weak teams and rest played against very good bowling attacks. They have maintained this ranking for more than year now.

Bring Dhoni as captain and Dravid as coach
by Arun Goyal on Jul 11, 2019 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

Selection Board, who appointed Kohli as captain instead of Dhoni, needs to take the responsibility of the defeat. Now, Do not commit another mistake of retiring Dhoni. Instead, appoint Dhoni as captain now. Any one's fitness and not the age can be criterion for retirement. Dhoni has lot of energy and is a good captain as proved enough in IPL. If Virat is good captain then why he could not deliver in IPL also?? . The decision of pushing Dhoni to come after Kartik and Hardik was bad decision.

SEMI-FINAL WORLD CUP MATCH
by Neeraj Singhal on Jul 11, 2019 02:49 PM

The match our team lost only due to one person "RAVI SHASTRI". He failed as a coach to do man-to-man-marking likewise done in Hockey. He is not bothering at all for this GREAT LOSS since He is a bullshit in my EYES. All the Best Indian Team for T20 World Cup; but without Shastri. Kapil Dev/ Dhoni are better options as Team Coach.

Captancy
by Chinna - Gurappa on Jul 11, 2019 02:45 PM

Why our team captain has not played like the team captain of New Zealand. Without questioning him the analysis on Dhoni should have accelarated etc. It is blunders of kohli & Rohit cost the match. No use of scoring lots of runs, but there is use by scoring as & when required, which has not done by these two batsman. In our India cricket history only two captains i.e. Kapil Deve & Dhoni has delivered as captains, but not others.

Wrong notion
by Sandeep Singh on Jul 11, 2019 02:41 PM

Everyone is cursing shot selection of Indian batsmen for getting out but no one is talking about the increasing asking run rate that forced them to play such shots after they failed to rotate strike sufficiently quickly!! Surprising!!!

some unseen facts which can not be defined such as ego clash between Kohli & Dhoni, never seen there joint effort to stretegige the game by both. somewhere over confindent & proudy Kohli has missed the opportunity to take a large gole which could have been acheived if dhoni would have lead from front unlikely 2011 finals

no meaning now to see back , but in crunch match the team seen without a joint leadership quality in single direction

Dhoni is 38 now and like a medicine beyond its expiry date, he should have retired gracefully two years ago but it seems that he was itching to take some disgrace before leaving the stage!!

a few niggling factors led to defeat inspite of a world class tea
by Kannan Ramanan on Jul 11, 2019 01:08 PM  | Hide replies

We have to avoid hero(ine)-worship, be it sports, cinema or any field. Genuine & consistent performance can be lauded, but when inconsistency and lack of performance comes up, the exit door should be made visible.

Gavaskar, Kapil, Sachin, Dhoni, Kohli, be it any one. When they performed well consistently, good to appreciate the performance, when there is a persistent downtrend - first by their own humility, they should realise and volunteer to exit, if not, Management and Country has to chose, none is bigger than these...

In WC 2019, generally Team India played well and dominated most of the matches. Even Eng match we should have won and NZ we should have certainly won, but for few niggling factors.

Dhoni's prowess has been declining for last 3 years, he should have chosen Tests & not 1-dayer or T-20's. Slow Strike rate, inability to reverse critical situations and always pushing things to the last 3 overs, which might work 1-2 times out of 10, not always. In every game of WC and almost last 3 years, he has been been following the same pattern, it worked for his first 10 years, but we cannot reminisce of 2011 in 2019...

When top order fails, the middle & lower order should have done it for India. with the sudden spirit provided by Jadeja, Dhoni should have added another 15 odd runs to lead the win, rather he continued to play dot balls and singles and pushed the ball into Jadeja's court. Both got out due to the exceeding pressure of 37 runs in 3 overs.

BCCI selection committee is a 'bunch of jokers', they struggle to accept senility of an overaged great(?) like Dhoni!!!

3 Hundreds and 10 half centuries in 50 innings with healthy average of 47 , just behind Kohli, Dhoni and Rohit. He is faaar faar better than these T20 shit who cant play long innings.

At the age of 33, only 3 100s? This is the age around which players retire.
