Or is it that after WC Dhoni ji still has hopes? The media is finding fault with everything that Pant does.

Had it not been for Pant's flawless 48, India may have lost. Can't find fault with his batting so something has to be said for nitpicking

Well said. Give him some time. Basically Pant is a wicket-keeper and it is unfair to expect from him to be athlete in outfield. He is natural successor to Dhoni and let him concentrate on wicket-keeping only. He is just 21 and has already performed reasonably well in last two overseas tours of England and Australia scoring centuries against likes of Broad, Anderson, Moin Ali, Cummins, Hazlewood. He can be future Gilchrist of Indian Cricket.

Not only throwing but also fielding. His fielding in the previous match left lots to be desired.
