KL RAHUL AND DHONI MUST MAKE INROADS FOR PERFORMERS
by atul chetan hemrom on Jul 02, 2019 12:14 PM

IF INDIA (AT ALL) LOOKING FOR A CUP IN THE NEXT WORLD CUP MSD AND KL RAHUL MUST BE GIVEN CHANCE TO PROVE THAT THEY DONT WORTH IT, THE INTENT AGAINST ENGLAND WAS CLEAR (LL MAKE INDIA LOSE). I FEEL THE WAY THEY PLAYED WAS TYPICAL OF A MATCHFIXING SYLE

Misplaced concern!!
by Sandeep Singh on Jul 02, 2019 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

It is surprising author is not concerned about out-of-form KL Rahul who appeared like a rabbit among the hungry wolves, giving off maiden overs one after another!!! The match that India lost required foundation of at least 50-60 runs in first 10 overs, but KLR had other ideas. Middle order can take team over finishing line only if top order leaves required run rate less than 6.5 for them but they actually left much more than 7 as required run rate...

Roishab pant or Mayank agarwal or Dinesh Karthik should open innings withy Rog=hit Sharma. Replace Chal with Jadeja

First give lessons to our own non-performers like KL Rahul, Chahal, Kohli (because he should have scored hundred against England as per his top rating) and even Dhoni whose wicket keeping is very shoddy now...

Indian Team from Here On
by Satish K on Jul 02, 2019 01:05 AM  | Hide replies

Also, India has really missed a big trick by not trying Kartick. We have seen that he can not only build an innings but also get runs with very high strike rate when the asking rate is next to impossible, a role which we expected of Dhoni in his prime.
The changes for the next 2 matches atleast should be,
Jadeja & Bhuvaneshwar for Chahal & Jadhav. Kartik can come for Rahul (not a great fielder who also has dropped few catches) and open the innings with Rohit and Rishabh (right/left).
With these changes, this eleven should be the best possible combination to take the Cup.
(If Kartik fails (which I doubt) or Rishabh fails, then Rahul can come back for one of them)

Well said. In the last two league matches, India can very well try Pant as Opener with Karthik at No. 4. Karthik is much better fielder than Rahul. Jadeja has always fared better on English soil (Remember Champions Trophy 2017?)

EXPERIMENTATION MODE ??
by Shilpa Mehta on Jul 01, 2019 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

Its surprising that even at the latter stage of WC , Team India is still in EXPERIMENTATION MODE & its middle order
woes continues - - -

Its mainly due to INJURIES & improper selection of PLAYING XI .

When Shankar & Jadhav were selected as ALL ROUNDERS , what is the use of keeping them in playing XI when they are not being given any bowling ??
Neither they are scoring enough runs .
Otherwise take a specialist batsman in place of them .
