Pujara
by Mahendra Nayak on Jan 28, 2019 06:07 PM  | Hide replies

Remember Rahul Dravid the Gentleman He walked off in his debut innings in Lords that too on a 95 after he nicked a delivery to the keeper even without looking at the umpire..and shamelessely Pujara stood his ground and that too in both the innings, what is the message by a senior professional to youngsters in a Ranji Trophy Game to cheat and win.

Why dont you blame if Pujara was out ? Gone are the days of becoming a gentleman in highly competitive cricket. You may say anything based on reports without knowing the facts.

Gentleman's Game,is it really??
by mahesh mahesh on Jan 28, 2019 02:05 PM

Pujara was out and despite of this knowledge, unlike that of a gentleman, he stood ground.
It is. shame to the game and not the question of winning or losing.
We still remember G.R.Viswanath who walked despite of giving not our and this is gentleman's game and great GRV was not a shameless man to stand ground even after knowing that he is out and di nit cheat himself let alone the game of cricket.

Puajara's other face should leave him in shame
by Magadi Sudheendra on Jan 28, 2019 12:57 PM  | Hide replies

Saurastra may have won this match but pujara should be ashamed of himself for cheating and winning even though it was clearly out He refused to leave the field which shows his disgusting character and exposes his masked face as a gentlemen cricketer.

In modern and highly competitive cricket you will rarely find gentleman who will voluntarily sacrifice his wicket. Why don't you blame umpires of the game who can decide if the bats an was out or not.

If umpires are fools then there is no necessity that you should also be one

If a batsman feel he is not out, he should stand on the ground and let the Umpire to judge and give his decision.
