But for the personal predilections of Kohli supported by Shastri, teh allrounder spot would be best filled in by Ashwin and not Jadhav, who should be fighting for a No 5 or No 4 slot with Rayudu and Karthik. Kohli got Ashwin out purely on grounds that he is somewhat slow on the field. Jadhav has proved that he is a poor catcher and no greta shakes a sa fielder either.
After all these years of excellent performance at all levels, at all pitches, at all locations, at all conditions, Virat & team have proved that there is no other cricket playing country who can even come near to them in all departments. Kudos ! Virat can be rest assured that he has the best combination of batsmen and bowlers that World Cup is guaranteed to be his and in his pocket. Never expected New Zealand to play so badly. Their weakness is totally exposed. No good quality bowlers, no good long playing batsman, no strong and good batsmen at 4 - 5 - 6 positions. No opening partnership. Martin Guptil and even the experienced Ross Taylor are playing hopelessly and badly not even able to face any of Indian bowler with confidence. It was sad to see this. All Western teams are in absolutely bad form and this is good news because other Asian teams can also score with them on seeing their performance with India.
