Ashwin is not fit for shorter version of the game since he leaks lot of runs. Chahal and Kuldeep have already cemented their place. Bhuvaneshwar, Shami and Bumrah will be three fast bowlers in the team.
Gambhir is wrong. Ashwin misfit for 1 day and T20. No chance at all. For test also he is over the hill and is sliding down - he might get one more chance - he should retire gracefully. He has done tremendously well in the past and was instrumental in no. of wins of India. He is surely one of the top 20 crickets of India all time - But this the right time to leave.
