great moments cannot become standards
by viswanath n on Feb 04, 2019 02:10 AM

Only All Rounders can save in crucial times. We need recovery when top and middle orders collapse like a tail spin. That is what typical of Indian cricket. There are great moments, but those are only moments not standards. Players like Shane Watson, Klusener, KapilDev make the list, and unfortunately none in the current squad can be in.

don't forget Indian fans
by Raghavendra Ravi on Jan 17, 2019 06:30 AM

I think Indian cricket has gone ahead because huge number of fans have in some way contributed money - tickets or ads or whatever - this has enabled India / BCCI to spend a lot of money for the past 15 - 20 years ( remember Lillee - MRF Pace Academy). IPL has brought in a lot of players. Today perhaps India can have two teams - I wonder what will happen if TEAM A plays TEAM B..
So it is because we were able to spend so much money on this game.

Only because of change in characteristics due Virat Kohli
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jan 16, 2019 04:17 PM

All credit to the change of fitness, attitude, confidence, aggresiveness, ability to fight even in low score and mainly a self confidence in each and every player has changed the face of Indian cricket team and no doubt it is this aspect that is winning games for India and players performing astoundingly and breaking records. Full marks for all the changes to Virat Kohli. Its only because he is like that, have all the above characteristics and lead from the front that every team member is gearing alongwith him and giving him 110% support and efforts. Hope these things continue and India plays well and beats all the team to win the World Cup for sure. It will be a great record never to be surpassed because Virat was the one who won the World Cup at under 19 level and now as a captain of regular Indian team winning the 19 world cup. Wow! He could probably be the youngest legend.

India batting

India''s batting is still not that good. But if young players like Agarwal, Shaw and Shubman Gill come into team and perform the things could change
