Ian Chappel is right that as far as bowling and fielding is concerned India does look the best.In fact the Indian pace attack is a dream combo of the world in the current times the way the fearsome WI were in their time. Bumrah has simply excelled with his unorthodox short run up action, speed and accuracy becoming the most lethal bowler in his very first yr.In fact there were doubts if the white ball specialist is being inducted into the red ball variety a bit too early ? But he proved everyone wrong. Shami too was more consistent than his earlier campaigns when he would bowl erratic spells. Ishant too was steady. But if India had played 2-spinners and 2 pacers combo in all 4 tests India would have won the series comfortably as they had no clue playing spin. Regarding Indian batting I am afraid it is still work in progress with only Pujara and Virat showing some consistency.For any side to be the best world side the first requisite is bowlers with ability to take 20 wkts and then next a dominating opening pair with solid defense like that of Gavaskar and an attacking bat like Virender Sehawag.Let's hope Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal fill that gap and more youngsters will make the grade. Pujara, Kohli and with Pant already in the upswing if we can manage another one or two solid youngsters in the m.o India indeed can be WI of the sixties and seventies.
