Problem with Bhajji of monkey-gate fame is he creates controversy the moment he opens his mouth. Moreover it was Ashwin who displaced Bhajji and should Ashwin play for long Ashwin could overtake Bhajji's wkt haul about which he is very sensitive.Having said that I am ready to concede it is in Ashwin's interest not to get injured too often given the competitive environment. Kuldip bowled beautifully at SCG but fact remains the 2nd rate Aussies had no clue of playing spin. Moreover the amount of Pressure Ashwin creates from one end virtualy choking runs to a trickle will be crucial while playing teams like England,SA etc.where Kuldip could struggle.Anyway Kuldip is a talented youngster and learning and may be in near future he could replace Ashwin but for that he will have to give consistent performance against better sides.
There is nothing wrong in the comment of Bhajji; we understand what is no 1 or 2. He meant Kuldip is better than Ashwin these days with the former's wrist spin. He has right to comment on the performance of the players, as tacitly the selectors do while selecting one ahead of the other. Who says, there is nothing like no 1 or no 2? The selectors say these are the no 1 guys to play for India and it's logical always.
Ashwin getting injured on foreign tours have become regular now. Certainly there will be No 1 and No 2 slots for all. Openers, fast bowlers, middle order etc .. Karun Nair was dropped after his triple hundred. Engineer sir did not like Bajjis comment as he does not basiclly like Bajji .. Its a fact that what Ashwin can do in India , Kuldeep can also do. Prove your worth on foreign tours.. Harbhajan is correct here ...

Ashwin has done well in the only test he played in Australia. Getting Injured is in noones control. As such every player today knows that if he is replaced ,he cant be assured to return, so Fake injuries are not possible. I am not a big Fan of Ashwin but this is not the way to write off any player.
