Namakkal Raghavendran
Bigger than World Cup?
by Namakkal Raghavendran on Jan 07, 2019 03:59 PM

Come on Shastriji, you must be kidding! The Aussies were playing with a depleted strength and the two formats are different. Again your claim "put your pads and go and find out" is bullshit. If I was capable of doing that I wouldn't be sitting here in my cubby hole typing out this message. I would be somewhere else in the world facing TV cameras

no great achievement.Aussie batting was fragile was well known. we should have won at least 3-0.
No comparision with world cup 1983, as it was david vs goliath.

sASTRY, what about your loss to England team both in tests and onedayers! Was it worst ever performance?
Don't gloat over your performance on a 'Ranji side' team. Let us wait / hope for top performance in WC, 2019 to stamp our class.

aus victory

What an arrogant comment-devoid of humility and farcial.Agreed this series victory was excellent-against Aussies in their own den, against a galaxy of top pacers etc.But World cup 83 win was the definitive moment in Indian sports history, that too against the marauding WI team consisting of batting/bowling greats of the game.Swagger is not wrong ,but in this case it appears more of self-trumpeting/cries of a spoilt child.Kindly don't devalue the heroics of Kapil and his historic teammates.-G.Muralidhar

SHAHSTRI MUST HAVE HIS LIMIT.
by subrata banerjee on Jan 07, 2019 03:22 PM

Can you remember the names of cricketers who played for West Indies against India in the final of WORLD CUP 1983? Do compare the caliber between the 1983 West Indies team and 2019 Australian cricket team. It proves that you have lost your logic and want to remain as manager of Indian cricket team. Very selfish person shashtri you are.

Big boast and bombast from Shaz.No one will believe him. When India won the Cup in 83, the West Indies were the strongest ever team assembled till then. In this series, the Aussies were short of two of their best batters.
