Ok course the kid has 2 go a large distance, B4 even considering him anywhere near to 'The Invincible Gilli'. Gilli is all time gr8,Nobody can outperform Gilli. Let alone Pant. So, I Object Punter's statement Calling him 'The Next Gilchrist'. Likes of Gilli r born 1 in lakhs.

I completely agree with you. It is absolute nonsense to term Pant in the same bracket as Gilchrist. Gilli was a phenomenon who was a brilliant wicketkeeper & a masterful batsman. Pant is just wearing his boots in international cricket. He has a long way to go.
There is no use to engage an old player like Dhoni in Indian cricket team when a far better option for the place of wicket keeper cum aggressive batsman has been found in Rishav Pant.

Are you crazy to state that Saha is an ordinary player? If he was not injured Pant would never have got a look in to this team. However to Pant's credit he has grabbed his opportunity but the day Saha is available for selection he automatically becomes the 1st choice keeper. Pant would need to look at no. 6 as a batsman which is now up for grabs with Vihari, Rohit Sharma & Pant vying for it.
