Self Interest
by belur lolaksha on Feb 22, 2019 01:21 PM

Mr. Gavaskar,

India will lose only 2 points. Some commentators will not get paid if the match is not played. TV channels may lose big revenue from this cancellation. Some people who bet money on India may not get a chance to win fortune. You seem to be more concerned about these issues than anything else.

India should not play Pak at all. That's going to be a bigger humiliation to Pak than thrashing in the game. How can you have sporting relationship with a country which sponsors terror activities in our country ?

No patriot will concur with your view Mr Gavaskar. Please do not give these kind of insensitive opinions.

Let those cowards win the match and this traitors and other cricketiers only think money money, Gavasker should be taken to task for even thinking this. If his son is in the army he will never this. They are interested in the free trips and five star stays and earning loads of money. Hereafter every family should be made to make their children to join the army at least for 3 years like many other countries and this will tack sasi tharor , manishankar, etc etc etc to comment with an heart. We are all waiting for the great Indian army navy and air force to take the most stern action and teach those terrorists a lesson.Never again to do this dastardly act ever, Jai Hind

again deleting the messages, these paid media should be dealt with stern action. Gavasker and like minded who are interested only in the freebees and enjoy the 5 star stays . Every indian should be made to have their children in the army for a minimum of 2-3 years. They will realise the value of our soldiers. Let pak get those worthless 2 points, we will take out 1000000001 points from pakistan at the right time

PAK WILL BE VERY HAPPY IF INDIA PULLS OUT OF WC
by Shilpa Mehta on Feb 22, 2019 10:16 AM  | Hide replies

Very truly said by Gavaskar. Why should Team India allow
PAK to take two points for free & allow them to move
forward by not playing with them .

In fact ICC must BAN PAK from the WC .

If not , Team India must play with PAK & once again
humiliate PAK . This will be REAL TRIBUTE to our martyr
soldiers .

Had our soldiers been alive today , even they would have

asked Team India players not to bow before PAK , play

against them & crush them .

JAI HIND

Cricket W/C
by Bharat on Feb 22, 2019 10:03 AM  | Hide replies

India should go all out to ensure Pakistan is banned from the W/C. If not, India can opt out of the W/C. English / Welsh Cricket will loose heavily, if India does not participate. Ofcourse, India cannot plan the match against Pakistan, even if means we forfeit the Semis / Finals. There are things much bigger than cricket and let us all keep that

Meanwhile, the SC has been

forced by the sheer weight of the case to agree to reconsider its pronouncement that it found no reason to look deep into the Rafale scandal !

The Modi govt sure has been hoping that the outrage over the Pulwama terror attack might take away the focus on the Rafale scam for long enough, at least until the elections are over !

The terror attack was beginning to be considered as a golden opportunity for the Modi govt to wriggle out of public glare at the Rafale loot.

Now, with a string of very incriminating circumstances that shroud the Modi piloted Rafale deal, the SC might find it very difficult to find another excuse not to open it for scrutiny !

India should not participate
by Narahari K on Feb 21, 2019 09:28 PM  | Hide replies

India shouldn't participate in world cup if Pak is not banned from world cup.

If cricketers wants to show solidarity and pay true tribute to our martyrs they shouldn't be playing. India will not drown if they don't win a world cup.

There are other countries and iterary for revenue generation. The prestige of cup isn't bigger than the sacrifice of our soldiers.

Even if ICC ban India from participating for other matches let them, we don't lose anything. Just some entertainment, who cares. We need safety and security of India than entertainment.

If cricketers really care let them hit hard where it hurts. The players should voluntarily boycott than govt or bcci pushing them or making decisions for them.

Bottomline….The money oriented players will always crave to play.

What happened during 1999 world cup - Kargil war time Both the countries played.

After the killings of over ONE Lakh Tamil Civilians during 2009 - India and Srilanka played World Cup matches during 2011 in Indian Soil.

Let the Govt of India takes a decision whether India to Play or not.
