Batsmen at positions 1 to 4 must have the ability to score at 11 to 13 runs per over during the First Power Play (10 overs).
This requires special skill-sets and mindsets that only SRT and Viru had.
NZ seem to have got that right -- both Munro and Seifert are capable of milking the most out of PPlay.
Given this requirement, some drastic changes are required:
--Positions 1 to 4 should be filled with Pant, DK, Dhavan, and Kohli. Exact order between them can keep changing. --Rohit must bat at 5 or lower. --MSD must bat at 8 or lower. His stroke-making happens only in the last two overs of the innings, and his strokes also have become far too predictable for opponents -- its always a low, flat sixer between long-on and long-off.
