Till now kohali performance was proving as Savior for mc players like dhawan,raydu,kartik,khaleel,siraj but without kohali all these mc exposed and must be ousted from any team
There are enough of venues to test the caliber of players, from domestic cricket as well as through IPL, the first screening can be done. Short list maxium 15 players for national team at a time and not more. As long as IPL is there, all good players are making enough money and give chances only for most deserving players in National team. I think now a days the reshuffling of players in the playing 11 for test matches, one dayers and T20 is done without any specific logic. The key batsman (Kohili) and the key bowler (Bumrah) should not have been rested at the same time. Kedar Jadhav should have played today in place of Krunal Pandya. Even though Krunal Pandya is a good all rounder, he cannot straight away perform in the pitch conditions in NZ. There was too much pressure on Bhuvi when Khaleel was hit all around. Shami should have been the right choice for the first match. Since Vijay Shankar was in the team, it was foolish not giving a chance to bowl.
obviously, if you play pathetic and horrible bowlers like khaleel ahmed and pandya, such things will DEFINITELY happen EVERYTIME. Even talented bhuvenshwar did poor bowling. It was clearly suicide by India by fielding their poorest bowling combination!! BTW, India loses everytime this khaleel ahmed plays but still continues to get chances, don't know who is giving him 'undeserving push' into the team!!!
