Why Ignoring Ajinkya Rahane as a no. 4 batsman
by Jaiprakash Naik on Aug 14, 2019 04:51 PM

Always this happens when a player is in boom, the selectors, captain and coach make someone life miserable when in form. Why ignoring Ajinkya Rahane as No. 4 Batsman.

The selection really reduces to being between Shastri and Rajput. It is very likely that Kapil would persuade the others against any foreign coach and Robin has not had experience of being a full time coach of a national side (other than Under19).With the past experience, huge playing record andsavvy Shasti is the only likely cadidate unless professional jealousy come in the way.

That's right. Kapil Dev himself was a big failure as a coach & yet he keeps preaching against appointment of a foreign coach saying there will be a disparity of cultures unmindful of the fact that from 1980 to 2010 we really started winning at least matches if not series since John Wright took over. Probably he's right about cultural disparity - no one can match us when it comes to regional politics, favouritism & nepotism which is our culture!
