As I have been saying this repeatedly : NO NEED TO CHANGE THE COACH - - - That's it .
REASONS - - 1. Team India is NUMBER ONE OR TWO in all formats of the game under tetotaller coach Shastri & captain Viraat since last 2-3 years .
2. Recently defeated all countries on their own grounds ie SA IN SA , Whitewashed AUS IN AUS , crushed NZ IN NZ , humiliated ENG IN ENG , SL IN SL , WI IN WI under respected coach Shastri .
3. Topped the table in league stage in WC 19 . Won Asia cup .
4. Whitewashed WI in WI in ongoing series , which no coach ever achieved in history of Indian cricket .
WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT ?? Why its needed to change the coach ?? Just for the SAKE of changing ??
And even if new coach comes , what great will he achieve than above performance ?? Will Team India win 100 percent matches under him ??
It is not necessary to have coach who is perfect in cricket a person of any management Who has leader ship qualities , team building , motivation skills acts as a friend , father and mother can be appointed rest cricket boys know how to play I also would like to take that responsibility worth trying
It is really pathetic that Shastri is still a front runner for the post of the Head Coach. I think he may get the job as Kohli has already voiced his opinion and all this selection process could be a drama. We need to get Rahul Dravid or Anil Kumble as Head Coach to reach the top. Hope CAC is not biased.
Except Hesson and to an extent Rajput maybe, none of the others have any credentials of coaching(thats where Shastri gets knocked off automatically) or winning with high quality resources. Dravid or Kumble are the ONLY qualified coaches in India to take over this job and coach Kohli especially so we turn into an unbeatable team retaining #1 for several years winning every tournament, the likes of which is doable with the squad resources India has.
