To be precise Dinesh Kartik wicket keeping skills are far far better than Pant. Pant has failed in ODIs even after several chances. However Dinesh Kartik is proven handy in crunch siutations in ODI also. Its a good final choice. Now the question with Rayadu comes in. It was very hard on Rayadu to miss out since he had shown consistency and hit those centuries also before just failing in australian series. Rayadu was not tested in England and his feilding skills are questionable so may be shankar added the new dimesion to this whole issue. However they should stick to Shankar at 4 if they have selected him. They cannot use him as an allrounder. Or else as shastri suggested once, Virat should bat at No4 giving chance to Rahul at 3 and see few matches if it works. Since the world cup is a round robin format, there will be nine matches for India before semi final. In a sense this format is very good since all the team get to play each other once and every team has the chance to qualify. My only concern here is the additional pace bowler. In place of Jadeja they should have selected Yadav or Ishant Sharma, experienced guys for the world cup. Jadeja because of his allround skills he might of got a nod and also experience of playing previous world cup also added the case.
