VIRAT THE ENEMY OF HIS OWN
by hazra on Apr 10, 2019 02:50 PM

I think it is high time Indian Cricket should think of changing the Baton of Captaincy to Rohit Sharma, or at best to M.S.Dhoni for one Last Time, instead of having it with Virat Kohli.Virat may have the Charisma to be the best Batsman in the World but still has a Lot to Learn about the Guile and Gumps of Captaincy. Virat may have the valor but not the Vive and Verve to be the Captain of the Nation, that he had shown even there in I.P.L. itself where in spite of having the World best Cricketers at his kitty, he could not carry the Team to Championship for once and even that was evident there in Champions Trophy itself. The Adamancy, the Arrogance, the Atrocity, Virat has got may carry him to Miles of Record but can’t take India through to the Highest Crescendo in Indian Cricket.Too Much has been Talked about Virat or may be too much Weight-age had been given to him and that has gone over his Head.Let Virat be given a Rest to Reassess himself not for him but for the Indian Cricket especially for the World Cup Ahead.

VIRAT A Captain?
by Ratan Budhani on Apr 08, 2019 05:59 PM  | Hide replies

By continuing to play and lose Virat is getting into the habit of losing. As captain he has now lost 9 matches on the trot. Just as winning is a habit the losing too is a habit. If Virat goes on losing this way then his mindset will get conditioned to losing. We cannot afford to have a WC team being captained by a person with losing habit. Timely correction is the need of this hour. Let the wise people take a call on Virat if winning the WC is really in sight.

VIRAT FAILED TO BUILD A SHARP BOWLING ATTACK FOR RCB FOR YRS
by damodaran mohan on Apr 08, 2019 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

I agree with MV and in fact i myself and many more must have been thinking on these lines.Where Virat lost the plot was in not equipping his team with a penetrative bowling attack during the last few yrs even after his side missed the playoffs yr after yr. How can he expect to win IPL with mediocre Md Shiraj and Umesh Yadav ?Only one Yajuvendra Chahal is not enough. If he still doesn't realize it then he is unfit to be a captain. But greater worry for Indian fans must be form of most of the Indian WC probables starting with SD,RS,Virat,Rayudu...the list is long.Among batters only Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav look in somewhat reasonable form.Rishabh Pant looks totally at sea while chasing. Even the 3 front line pacers Bhuvi, Bumra and Shami have been giving away too many runs in death overs.Chahal looks ok but kuldeep looks somewhat less confident so far.In fact AF spinners look much better and confident. On the other hand the English and WI players look in top form both with bat and ball and evidently are the two top favorites.India at best could be 3rd or 4th favourite and given Virat's mental condition it will be near miracle for team India to win the WC.

By evaluating ViratKholi's performance of the recent tours in Inda and outside, he has not done anything great. He won the match because of some one has played the role and backing of Dhoni and R sharma. He has to play and guide the teammates as the situation demands. He thinks he is great. His team selection with Ravi Sastri is not up to the mark He must consider the views of the vizards in cricket and decide the composition. All his No 4 trials have ended in a failure including himself at No 4. Selectors do the needful. Not to select the team of the players who cannot read the situation and play as per the merit and the demand. No testing or trials anymore. enough is enough.

Rest Virat

Virat must be rested from IPL. He should not go to WC as a demoralised captain of a losing side (RCB).
