This IPL season, the fixing of matches "officially" to create or sustain spectator interest has touched a new high (err, a new low).
The fixing has started early, and is happening too frequently. The Delhi Punjab match, in which Delhi mysteriously lost their last 8 wickets for 7 runs, was fixed. The CSK vs Mumbai match was also fixed, and the stat actor in that fixing is none other than MSD -- the man who gets away with his micro-managed fixing of matches with his deliberate dotballs, last over lastball finishes, etc.
