Ashwin bowled both in the first and second innings. There was enough time for the experts to point this out to him during the match itself. Also Shastri himself was a great spinner. Wonder why these expert comments cannot get communicated at least at the end of each day during the match
I have been watching cricket for more than 55 years and have the pleasure of watching a number of great spinners and can easily say that Prasanna was the best off spinner. Taking wickets in home conditions have made ordinary bowlers look deadly.
Ashwin has entered through T20 matches. In which batsman takes the risk because he has to score. Ashwin 's mindset is restrictive . In test matches batsman under no pressure to score , just be there & score when ball is to be hit. Somebody like Mr Prassanna must tell him this .

Not exactly that way, since when our batsmen, specially the so called test batsmen played quality spinners in domestic season or abroad, and once an average spinner like Ali bowls, these great batsmen collapse and capitulate. That simply happened. Where are those classic / unorthodox spinners since chandra, Venkat, Bishen or Pras exited from scene. Since when such class spinners selected / encouraged to play at least 3 spinners in a test here or abroad. India's days in tests are numbered.
