Nicely said. Ashwin has always been failure outside sub-continent pitches. Even though Moin Ali bowled well in second inning by cleverly utilising rough around off-stump, his 5 wickets haul was virtually a gift to him by Indian batsmen. Forget pace, current Indian batsmen (barring Kohli) cannot face even a reasonable good spinner!

Curan and Ali were superior to pandya and ashwin which proved to be decisive for England. Rest no difference.. Also when i see Mr Sashtri as Coach , i feel he has gone to England to booze and enjoy more than contribute as coach.. On contribution, a guy like shastri who used to wet in pant seeing west indies pace bowlers is the coach... Hahaha ... BCCI should be more named as Bombay cricket control India...

I wonder what these Indian batsmen would have done against bowlers like Glen McGrah, Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock, Waquar Yunus, when they falter against relatively new and junior bowlers in England. Destroy all flat pitches in India and replace with Fast pitches, only then this chronic pain will go away.

Forget about pace, what current Indian Batsmen could have done against Warne & Murlidharan? Anybody's guess!

MR. Shilpa One of the worst teams in World like like Pakistan also managed to win a test match and level the series in England - barely 2 months back. Now what stops India?
Re: MEANINGLESS

poor captiancy poor coaching (shastri of tracebullet fame and other shocking gaffes) shastri looks like someone trying to keep his eyes open after all night partying - take kholi away and the rest of the indian batting is like one long tail. the pace bowlers have done well but ashwin is not world class he is subcontinent class. hardik pandya for now is a headless chicken all rounder -going nowhere with bat nowhere with boll if only two other batsmen had performed then india would likely be leading 3-1

I have to disagree, because in 2011 they defeated us in India inspite of Sachin, Veeru & others in the team.
Please be kind to our brilliant strategic captain and coach . Kindly make a full cup of mix of MSD and KapilDev's susu and serve half a cup to each of them daily in the morning from now onwards

And Kohli claims to form a balanced side by including Pandya in the team . Someone who is worse than a Sam Curram in all departments . Ashwin is inferior to even Moin Ali !!!
Re: Re: who played worse
by Rajendra Uparkar on Sep 03, 2018 01:46 PM
Agreed. Sam Curren has shown the great maturity & determination in crunch situations in all 3 test matches he has played in this series... and he is just 20 years old! Every time he came for batting, England was in dire trouble and he rescued his team every time with sensible batting.
The great(??) virat Kohli has admitted he cannot defeat anyone braver than his team in tough situation, he will always need 'weaker' teams to beat because he cannot see his opening batsmen are complete failure, he cannot see Rahane cannot take lead in scoring runs and he cannot accept that Pandya has no quality of a dependable allrounder

You are forgetting Ajinkya Rahane, he is a senile batsmen not capable to taking lead for scoring runs. He was the one who relayed too much of pressure on lower order batsmen when its HIS duty to do bulk scoring after batsmen above him had left!!

On the fieldkohli gives a fierce image...but his intelligent comments show what a great gentleman he .a true cricketer to give due respect and credit to opponents

Very good!!! if you keep on giving credit to opponents like that, then you will keep on losing matches...

we need intelligence on the cricket field first. a monkey can be trained to talk like that off the field

Ha a ha; correct you are . But what to do ? There are some jokers amongst the supporters , whowould always like to do such donkey like analysis without any understanding of the game
