Our media hyped that this aussie team is aweakest team and India has a best chance to win test series for the 1st time in Australia. No. doubt this is a great chance for India to do so, but as hyped this Aussie team is not the weakest as supposed from my point of view. I think the 1977-78 Aussie team was the weakest team (due Kerry Packer & CA clashes for TV broad casting of matches). In the 1st test there were 6 debutants in Aussie team, captaincy was handed over to 42 year old Bob Simpson who was retired 9 years back. Only Jeff Thomson, Alan Hurst, Garry Cosier & Craig Sargent have played tests. and only Jeff Thomson was the penitrative. As compared to them India have the services of Gavaskar, Vishwnath, Chetan Chauhan, Ashok Mankad, Anshuman Geakwad, Mohinder Amarnath, Madan lal, Ghawari, Vengsarkar, Kirmani, & four famous spinners Bedi, Chandra, Venkat & Prasanna. Still we lost the series to them by 2-3. So don't under estimate the Aussies.
