Mithali Raj
by arun gupta on Dec 01, 2018 09:55 AM

A very big player for India, I think Romesh did not handle the situation and created chaos by not including Mithali Raj in Playing 11, A Super Star. Bossism by Powar.

First include the best
by b g on Nov 30, 2018 04:17 PM

I think the best player should be included and then the outcome should speak for itself. Ramesh Powar could make his point after the outcome. This time he is on a loose wicket !

Should have been handled tactfully
by guruswamy krishna on Nov 29, 2018 03:18 PM

Mithali has contributed so much to Indian Women's
Cricket. She deserved respectful treatment from the Captain and Coach. The whole episode gave an impression to be well planned and disdainfully executed. In all the recent World Cup matches her place in the team should have been a certainty based on her past track record. Sachin would not have been this kind of a treatment .

Dropping Mithali Raj
by Vinni K on Nov 29, 2018 03:08 PM

Mithali Raj reminds me of Javed Miandad, not a great hitter of the cricket ball but enough talent to take the team to victory. Dropping such a player at the crucial stage of the World Cup is dishonest to the Nation. Cricketers must think of the Nation first and do their duty for the mother-land rather than settling their own score.

She is Tendulkar of Indian women cricket
by bhaskar on Nov 29, 2018 01:52 PM

What would have happened if Tendulkar was dropped in semi finals or finals on the same ground .Ramesh powar must be fined and thrown out of cricket forever for his ghastly acts.

There's something rotten at BCCI
by Amar Singh on Nov 29, 2018 12:52 PM

You have RAVI SHANKAR SHASTRI (caps for emphasis) as the India (Men's Coach) and you have this Ramesh Powar as Women's Coach. His credentials as a player are below par. Given the Indian women's position, getting to semi-finals and finals, you would think a good coach would have worked to see that the team raises its game to take the final prize, in every tournament.
