Most predictions have proved false

Couple of important points
Stating that this is the best opportunity to win because of Warner & Smith absence is a poor reflection of state of mind of Indian team, administrators and followers.
We must compete with the best at their best, under adverse situations and beat them, that is the hallmark of a good team. Stating that because key players are not there, we will beat them is an insult to India.

Secondly predicting 4-0 whitewash is also not a great prophecy. The T-20 itself showed the toughness of the Aussies and Indians have flattered to deceive many times.

Even before England Test tour, we were predicting Indian victory stating that England team had lot of recent setbacks and their team was not in good shape, but the results were disastrous for India...

India has to approach with Zero-based approach and have to play ruthless, fearless game, but with respect and better understanding of the opposition, rather than speak in press, social media etc., which is of no use.

This is an absurd thought at this point of time that India should win 4-0. Its nothing other than emotion. Let us hope that India will win the series which appearing to be something special.

Lets not count chicken before they hatch. Indian team in Australia have flattered to deceive many a times.
We all want India to win but it will be a miracle if they win the series with two and a half test batter. Kohli,Pujara and Shaw

Farukh Engineer predicts 4-0 CLEAN SWEEP in Tests .

Its too optimistic .

Yes , that could have happened in 20-20 series .

But I analyse Team India will surely win the series irrespective whether Smith & Warner plays or not .
Playing with these two does not matter much because as such AUS bowling dept will be the same anyway .

Smith and Warner will definitely make a difference. Without them this team is like India without Virat.

It would be total whitewash
by Jayaprakash Balan on Nov 28, 2018 10:02 AM  | Hide replies

Yes, as predicted by Engineer, it would be total whitewash of Australians by India after we saw the last 2 T20s played by them. None of their players are in form or even has a patience and strategy to play while on the other hand, all our batsman are in devastating form and flow. The worst is that the experienced Australian bowlers like Starc looked very normal and ineffective. And bowlers like Counter-Nile and others have not improved including the young Zampa. No team can ideally play a decent test match without 2 specialized and effective spinners on any track and its really shows the commitment of Australian Cricket Board and coach not striving to develop 3 - 4 quality spinners. And our spinners like Kuldeep, Chahal etc. is world class which the Australian batsmen are not at all able to read and understand. So, all the Test matches would again be one sided and hence boring without any twists and turns. How sad that international cricket has stooped so low when we have best players developed and that too in such a destructing form. Frankly true cricket lovers would be craving for pacers, spinners and world class batsmen as opponent which unfortunately is not even seen developing.

Are you serious ? Here are some facts.

1. The same hype was created before India's tour of SA & England earlier this year. What happened ?
2. India has never won a test series in Australia.
3. You are talking of the T20s last week. If my memory is right, it was 1-1.
4. Kuldeep Yadav was talked up after the T20s in England also. How did he fare in the tests ? He gets wickets in the limited overs format, when the batsmen go after him and he has defensive fields to protect him.
5. Pitches in Australia are true and bouncy, and generally favour fast bowlers. Only Sydney is likely to give some assistance to spinners, that too on the last 2 days only.

Hence Mr.Balan - it will be great if India does beat Australia, but do a fact check before you get carried away.
