Dropping an experienced and a solid batsman like Mitali was a big mistake and a illogical one.If the batsman had scored say 150 runs and you had lost the game then the exclusion of Mitali from the playing XI was totally acceptable. You dropped your experienced player and you batted poorly with no application whatosever from the top order and were eventually bold out for 112 which was a disappointing score in a semifinal, then questions will be raised and you have to answer them all.
It was a big mistake from the captain and the team management to drop an experienced and technically sound player like Mitali.I wanted this team to win the worldcup but with such a illogical decision taken in a semifinal which cost India the worldcup,I don't regret it now
Why not, if I have a match-fixing assignment worth few crores. There is one cricketer who produced a fake to get appointment in a higher rank, and subsequently demoted as a constable or so. Is that the present captain of women's cricket?
Ofcourse nothing will come out of the enquiry. Still there is a doubt the integraty of the management. The match fixing angle may not be ruled out. The guilty must be ruthlessly punished.

Every time we have Indian coach, whether for Men's or for women's team there would such controversy. I never plead for foreign coach but definitely it will eliminate politics. India has reason to deploy foreign coach not because they are better than our coaches but definitely inculcate fair practice.
Absolutely correct question. Mithali Raj is one of the greatest cricketer in the world (amongst male & female). She had a minor injury and as a precaution, she was dropped in that "inconsequential" match against Australia (India are already in SFs - thanks to the two knocks from Mithali). Semi Finals - it is pure selfishness / foul play / dirty tricks. India lost a very great opportunity to win the World Cup. Harmanpreet - we like your game but definitely can't consume this poor attitude. Ultimately YOU lost an opportunity to Lift the Cup and India lost a chance. On paper itself, we are sure of our defeat!!! Very sad.

Friend-During match against Australia Mithali had monor injury,so she was dropped,in this match only Mandhana and Kaur scored-rest of batsmen failed, but fortunately India won. However in SF,being best player of India Mithali shud have been played,we can well observe that dropping her was intentional-statement of Indian captain after loss clearly indicate this.Kaur is definitely guilty for this loss and people of India will not forget this episode for long and not forgive the conspirator forever...My best wishes and blessings to Mithali for future games.

It is because Ms Mithali is a south Indian, that's why, the captain and selection team can't digest the Mithali getting famous in the field even more famous than the male cricketers. All these joined to drop Ms Mithali from the team, that's their bad luck. I wishing Ms Mithali a better future.
