see how i correctlylol not even one prediction has become rightlol.poor fo ol doesnt now indian men cannot win overseas.even if they win today it will be fluke win in the absence of smith and warner
It was due to wrong selection of shots . When singles & twos were needed girls went for airy shots & lost their wickets . Also running between wickets were poor leading to 3-4 RUN OUTS .
Non selection of experienced Mitali Raj was another reason .
The whole thing is stages as i am sure England lost to West Indies in the last round robin match so as not to meet Australia. Other teams are easy meat for English Eves 9 out of 10 times. ICC whould take care that both the matches ought to have been played at the same time rather than give way for manipulations.

Cricketers are only after one thing and that is money and fame. media also wants this because cricket feeds them as well. We have a world champion boxer in Mary Kom who has won the title five times and is in the final again, but the media does not do any justice to her. Shame

agree. so many unsung heroes and heroines in Indian sports. Pankaj Advani is another one. We only look at cricket and IPL!
Colossal mistake of dropping Mitali Raj in such an important game as this. Synonymous to playing a World Cup Semi Final without Sachin Tendulkar. Who so ever took this call is nothing short of a genius.
The approach to batting was so faulty. On a slow turner with a tennis ball like bounce there was no attempt to rotate the strike and go for singles by the Indian batters. All adopted a "Hit out or get out" policy - and Get out they did - they did not bat even their full quota of 20 overs which is a sin. Mitali's style of batting would have been best suited.
When England came into bat, our bowlers did not have a Plan B. They tried spinning England out and when that did not succeed they were totally lost.
Here again, the experience of a senior pro like Mitali would have added immense value to the team. Harman is young and still has so much to learn.
Though this is after all a game and one team has to loose - it is the manner in which they lost that hurt the most.
Anyways, all the best for the future and better luck next time and I hope the person who took the call of dropping Mitali is punished.

Mithali misfit in T20. Very poor strike rate. She her self wants to retire from this format.

No was declared fit. Big blunder to drop someone who scored 2 50s in 2 innings and with a wealth of experience to handle this situation. In fact she would have held one side well. India would have made 140, which could have been a winning total.
should resign immediately. How can you explain the loss to England in the slow pitches of West Indies which helps spinners? Why was Veda Krishnamurty preferred over Mithali. After 49 international T20 innings Veda has an average of only 18 and Mithali has an average of 37 after 80 T20 innings. Indian womwn team will never get a better chance to win world cup.
