Both Smith and Warner should be banned for life term, else what is the sanctity of punishment. How could they even think of involving in such an incident when they were both famous players, doing well, earning well etc. What else were they looking for. In fact, they have lost respect from their global die hard fans who used to love their cricket. They have cheated their fans too and as such they should be given life term ban. Why do cricket need such players. They are not so great that they are irreplaceable players for Australia. Rather than being dependent on them, Australian cricket board should find out fresh talent and groom them well. Only this will a lesson to Smith and Warner as well an alert and warning for other players if any thought of involving in unethical means during game.

Rightly said. When ICC could ban Amir and the rest for 5 years, why were these three given only short punishments. The crudest lot of cricketers in the world are the Australians.
